The European Economic Interest Grouping (‘EEIG’) was introduced to enable businesses established in more than one member state of the European Union to co-operate more effectively across frontiers.

It is no longer possible to register a new EEIG in the UK. On the exit of the UK from the EU, EEIGs registered in the UK on 31 December 2020
