Applications may be made to the registrar to exercise the registrar’s power to enter a restriction (for one of the purposes mentioned in Paragraph 217 [1357] above) by a person other than the registered proprietor (or someone entitled to be registered as such) and without the consent of the registered proprietor (or someone entitled to be registered as such) provided that person otherwise has a sufficient interest in the making of the entry1. The Land Registration Act 2002 does not provide further detail as to what may constitute a sufficient interest for this purpose. However, it
