99 Application for a club premises certificate—documents; representations

| Commentary

The Licensing Act 2003 (Premises licences and club premises certificates) Regulations 20051 apply to an application for a club premises certificate under Section 71 of the Licensing Act 2003. The Regulations provide as follows:

  1. 99.1

        The prescribed form for applications for club premises certificates2.

  2. 99.2

        On or before making an application for a club premises certificate, the applicant club must make a declaration (as to qualifying club status) in a prescribed form and containing prescribed information3.

  3. 99.3

        Regulation 21 of the 2005 Regulations provides that an application for a club premises certificate must be given in writing4. However, Regulation 21A provides that this requirement is satisfied where the information comprising the application is transmitted to the recipient by means of a relevant electronic facility5. Regulation 21A further provides6:
