In section 2(10) for “home civil service or the diplomatic service†substitute “civil service of the Stateâ€.

House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975 (c 24)

In Schedule 1—

(a)     in Part 2, at the appropriate place, insert “The Civil Service Commissionâ€;

(b)     in Part 3 omit “Civil Service Commissionerâ€.

Northern Ireland Assembly Disqualification Act 1975 (c 25)

In Part 2 of Schedule 1, at the appropriate place, insert “The Civil Service Commissionâ€.

House of Commons (Administration) Act 1978 (c 36)

(1)     Amend section 2 as follows.

(2)     In subsections (2) and (3) for “Home Civil Service†(wherever appearing) substitute “statutory home civil serviceâ€.

“(5)     The statutory home civil service†means the civil service (excluding Her Majesty's diplomatic service) within the meaning of Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Constitutional
