Part V Community Meetings

(1)ÌýÌýÌýÌý A community meeting may be convened at any time—

(a)ÌýÌýÌýÌý in a case where there is a community council, by the chairman of the council or by any two councillors representing the community on the council, and

(b)ÌýÌýÌýÌý in any case, by any six local government electors for the community.

[(1)ÌýÌýÌýÌý Where there is a community council for a community, a community meeting may be convened at any time by the chairman of the council or by any two councillors representing the community on the council.]

[(2)ÌýÌýÌýÌý Except in a case falling within sub-paragraph (3) below, public notice of any community meeting [a community meeting convened under sub-paragraph (1) above] shall be given not less than 7 clear days before the meeting.

(3)ÌýÌýÌýÌý Where any business proposed to be transacted at a community meeting [a community meeting convened under sub-paragraph (1) above] relates to any of the matters mentioned in section 29B(4) of this Act [the existence of the community council or the grouping of the community with other communities], public notice of the meeting shall be given not less than 30 clear days before the meeting.
