124  Rate support grant: abolition

(1)     No payments by way of rate support grant shall be made for a financial year beginning in or after 1990.

(2)     The Secretary of State may by order repeal any enactment relating to rate support grant.

(3)     If a sum paid to an authority under any provision repealed under subsection (2) above is less than the amount which should have been paid to it under the provision, the Secretary of State shall calculate the
