The European Commission has announced a public consultation on the future of the European automotive industry. This initiative aims to address significant challenges facing the sector, including technological changes, digitalisation, and increased competition. The Commission is developing an EU industrial action plan to protect prosperity, meet climate goals, and ensure a fair transition with high-quality jobs and skills. The consultation seeks input from stakeholders to further develop and refine the initiative until 13 February 2025.
