The Mental Health Bill has undergone day four of the committee stage where members continued the in-depth analysis of the Bill; held on 27 January 2025, which seeks to amend provisions of the Mental Health Act 1983 in relation to mentally disordered persons; and for connected purposes. Members proposed changes that cover issues such as: protecting children from exploitation or manipulation and recording patients escorted to accident and emergency by the police.
