Post Office Scandal - what lessons to learn
In today's business world, maintaining strong corporate governance is more critical than ever. Most of us have been shocked by the corporate governance failings at the Post Office. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident; there are plenty of other cases. In just recent months there have been reports of Carillion (financial irregularities), Boo-Hoo (unethical trading), News Group (Phone Hacking) and Axiom Ince (financial irregularities) to name just a few.
None of us want to be part of these stories, but as the Post Office enquiry has shown – many people, including lawyers, become involved and fail to do the ‘right thing’.
