Contributions are payments that employees and employers make in accordance with the Social Security (Jersey) Law 1974. Social security contributions are split into Class 1 and Class 2. Class 1 liability relates to employed contributions and is split between employee and employer. Class 2 liability is in the absence of employed contributions (ie self-employed, non-employed, etc.). Social security contributions go towards contributory benefits such as:

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý Long-term Incapacity Allowance

  3. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý Maternity Benefit

  5. Ìý

    •ÌýÌýÌýÌý Old Age Pension/Survivors
